UFC 291 Preview
Another great weekend full of exciting fights is coming up, and I’m sure that you don’t want to miss any of them. UFC 291 will feature Dustin Poirier against Justin Gaethje for the main fight of the evening, and in the co-main, we will see Jan BÅ‚achowicz against Alex Pereira, along with many other great fights. In this UFC 291 preview, I’ll tell you all you need to know about this fight, the best places to get the greatest odds, and where to watch it live.
Dustin Poirier: Fighter History
Dustin Poirier had a remarkable tenure in the UFC, making his debut back in 2010. Throughout his career, he proved to be one of the most intriguing fighters, consistently putting on spectacular performances. Although he never became the champion of the Lightweight division, Dustin Poirier achieved victory over formidable opponents, including Michael Chandler, Conor McGregor twice, Dan Hooker, Max Holloway, and many more. His most recent victory was an impressive submission win against Michael Chandler, securing a rear-naked choke in the third round.
Justin Gaethje: Fighter History
If you are a UFC fan, you are probably aware of how skilled Justin Gaethje is. Since his debut in 2017, Gaethje has become one of the most feared fighters inside the octagon, and it’s not surprising why, considering the chaos he always brings to his fights. Justin Gaethje is the kind of fighter no one wants to miss out on and although he has never won the championship in the Lightweight division, he managed to defeat notable fighters like Michael Chandler, Tony Ferguson, Donald Cerrone, Edson Barboza, and many more. Most recently, he secured a victory against Rafael Fiziev in the third round.

How will the fight play out?
This will be the second time that these two incredible fighters face each other. Back in 2018, Dustin Poirier won in the fourth round by TKO. However, since then, both fighters have matured and gained more experience. Dustin Poirier is known for his precision and intensity in the face of adversity, as seen in his fights against Conor McGregor and Justin Gaethje, where he made remarkable comebacks to secure victories.
Justin Gaethje, on the other hand, possesses some of the best leg kicks in the UFC, along with strong wrestling and a powerful right hand capable of ending a fight at any moment. He’s a fighter who can bring chaos inside the octagon, and it wouldn’t be surprising if this fight ends before the fifth round.
As for the upcoming bout, I believe Justin will try to control the fight from the centre of the octagon and approach it more cautiously than in their last encounter. Predicting the winner is challenging, but I think Justin Gaethje has shown significant improvement in recent years, and that’s why I have to favour him in this fight.
My Pick: Justin Gaethje to win the fight in the third round. The best odds at the time of writing are at +177 with BetOBet.
