Washington Commanders at New York Jets (Saturday, Aug 10th)
It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen the Commanders perform at a high level. Meanwhile, the Jets also experienced a season they’d rather forget. After the highly anticipated signing of Aaron Rodgers, hopes were high for a playoff push. Unfortunately, Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury in his very first game with the Jets, sidelining him for the rest of the season. What was expected to be a team contending for a playoff spot turned into a major disappointment. Despite this setback, the Jets managed to finish third in the AFC East with a 7-10 record. With Zach Wilson stepping in as the primary quarterback.
As the new season approaches, one thing is certain: Aaron Rodgers will likely want to get some preseason action under his belt before the regular season kicks off. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him starting from the beginning in their upcoming game. If I had to make a prediction, I’d lean towards the Jets coming out on top. The last time these two teams faced each other was in December 2023, with the Jets winning 30-28.
