It will be interesting to see how the Lions perform on the road, as playing away can be challenging. Will the Cardinals defend their home turf, or can the Lions win? Detroit Lions vs Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, Sep 22th)
After a strong start with a win in their first NFL game, the Detroit Lions couldn’t get past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their latest matchup, falling 20-16. Jared Goff struggled in that game, throwing two interceptions. Despite the loss, the Lions are still considered favorites to win the NFC North, even though they’re currently in second place with a 1-1 record.
On the other hand, the Arizona Cardinals had a slow start to the season but bounced back in their most recent game, defeating the Rams 41-10. Kyler Murray shined with 266 passing yards and three touchdown passes, while Marvin Harrison Jr. added 130 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals are also 1-1 and sit second in the NFC West.
According to sportsbooks, the Lions are favored to win this matchup, and I have to agree. Despite their recent loss, Detroit has one of the strongest offenses in the league, and it’s hard to see the Cardinals being able to stop them. The last time these two teams met, back in December 2021, the Lions came out on top with a convincing 30-12 victory.
