Denver Broncos vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday, Sep 22th)
The Denver Broncos are struggling right now, and I have to admit, I expected more from them based on their preseason performance. Their most recent game ended in a 13-6 loss to the Steelers, and Bo Nix had a rough outing. Not only did he manage just 246 passing yards, but he also threw two interceptions and failed to score a touchdown. The Broncos’ struggles aren’t limited to just offense or defense—they’re underperforming on both sides of the ball. With a 0-2 record, it’s no surprise they’re sitting at the bottom of the AFC West.
On the flip side, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a roll, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by their performance so far. Coming off a 20-16 win over the Lions, the Bucs now hold a solid 2-0 record, putting them in second place in the NFC South. In that game, Baker Mayfield threw for 185 yards, connected for a touchdown pass, and even ran one in himself.
As for this upcoming matchup, it feels like an easy one to call. With the Bucs playing at home and riding this momentum, I expect them to win by more than 10 points. The last time these two teams faced off was back in September 2020, with the Bucs securing a comfortable 28-10 victory. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a similar result this Sunday.
