New York Jets vs Tennessee Titans (Sunday, Sep 15th)
The New York Jets are hitting the road once again after their recent 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. While Aaron Rodgers delivered a solid performance with 167 passing yards and a touchdown, it wasn’t enough to overcome one of the NFL’s toughest defenses. Despite the defeat, the Jets did have some standout moments, particularly from Breece Hall, who rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown, and Allen Lazard, who added 89 yards and two touchdowns.
On the other hand, the Tennessee Titans didn’t fare much better in their latest outing, losing 24-17 to the Chicago Bears. I have to admit, I expected more from the Titans, especially after a promising preseason. Things didn’t go as planned for rookie quarterback Will Levis, who threw two interceptions, and Calvin Ridley, who was kept out of the end zone. However, the Titans now have the advantage of playing at home in front of their fans, giving them a prime opportunity to bounce back and prove they’re contenders for the AFC South title.
If I had to predict this matchup, I’d lean towards the Jets, primarily because of Aaron Rodgers. That said, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Titans manage to pull off an upset. The last time these two teams met was in October 2021, with the Jets edging out a 27-24 victory.
