Indianapolis Colts vs Green Bay Packers (Sunday, Sep 15th)
The Indianapolis Colts are coming into this matchup after a tough loss to the Houston Texans, falling 29-27. Despite the defeat, the Colts put up a strong performance, particularly with Anthony Richardson leading the offense. Richardson threw for 212 yards, completed two touchdown passes, and even ran one in himself. However, this wasn’t enough to contain the Texans’ explosive offense. In my opinion, the Colts still showed significant improvement compared to last season, and their overall play was quite encouraging.
On the other hand, things didn’t go well for the Green Bay Packers either, as they lost their most recent game to the Philadelphia Eagles, 34-29. Jordan Love threw for 260 yards and added two touchdowns, but the big blow came with Love sustaining an injury that will sideline him for about 3 to 4 weeks. As a result, the Packers will turn to Malik Willis to take over as their starting quarterback in his absence.
If I had to predict the game, I would have given the Packers the edge, expecting them to come out on top. However, with Love unavailable, I now believe the Colts have a solid chance to claim victory. Interestingly, the last time these two teams met was in November 2020, when the Colts edged out the Packers in a thrilling 34-31 contest.
