New York Jets vs San Francisco 49ers (Monday, Sep 9th)
The New York Jets had an outstanding preseason, managing to win all of their games. Their most recent victory was a 10-6 triumph over the Giants. Now, for the first time, we’ll see Aaron Rodgers starting after nearly a year out due to injury. With Zach Wilson now playing for the Broncos and the addition of new talent, it’ll be fascinating to see how the Jets perform as they begin the season on the road. It’s also important to note that the team will be missing a few key players due to injury. Including Haason Reddick, Leki Fotu, and Jordan Travis.
On the other hand, the 49ers had a less impressive preseason, with their only win coming against the Saints in a 16-10 game. While many of their top players didn’t take the field, I still expected a bit more from the team overall. That being said, they are considered the heavy favorites for this game, especially since they’ll be playing at home, and it’s hard to envision them losing this matchup. The last time these two teams faced off was back in September 2020, when the 49ers came out on top with a commanding 31-13 win.
