It seems that we’re heading into the fifth week of the NFL, and this week promises to feature a lot of exciting rivalry matches that I’m looking forward to watching. Yesterday, we witnessed a thrilling game between the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders, which ended with the Bears securing their first victory of the season. In this NFL Picks and Bets Week 5 article, I’ll share my top five game predictions for this weekend and let you know where you can find the best odds.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday, Oct 8th)

Currently sitting in second place in the AFC North with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses, the Steelers enter this match following an unexpected and disappointing 30-6 loss to the Texans. They are averaging 15.5 points per game while allowing an average of 25, indicating some challenges on both offence and defence.
This match is undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend, featuring two of the biggest rivals in the NFL. Predicting the winner is challenging; however, if I had to choose, I would favour the Ravens. The last time these two teams clashed was in January of this year, with the Steelers securing a 16-13 victory.

New York Giants vs. Miami Dolphins (Sunday, Oct 8th)

In contrast, the Dolphins are currently second in the AFC East with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. Despite having a strong season, they enter this match on the heels of a 48-20 loss to the Bills. Their offence is performing exceptionally well, averaging 37.5 points per game, which is the best in the league. However, they are allowing an average of 29.8 points per game on defence, an area they will need to improve in the future.
It’s not difficult to predict the winner of this game. The Miami Dolphins are performing so well that it’s hard to imagine them losing. They last met in 2021, with the Dolphins winning 20-9.
