It seems that we’re heading into the fifth week of the NFL, and this week promises to feature a lot of exciting rivalry matches that I’m looking forward to watching. In this NFL Picks and Bets Week 5 article, I’ll share my top five game predictions for this weekend and let you know where you can find the best odds.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Sunday, Oct 8th)
The Baltimore Ravens are enjoying a successful season, currently sitting atop the AFC North division with a record of 3 wins and just 1 loss. They enter this match fresh off a dominant 28-3 victory over the Cleveland Browns, in which Lamar Jackson threw for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Ravens are averaging 24.8 points per game while allowing just 14.5, showcasing their strong performance on both offence and defence.
Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers are also having a respectable season, though not quite matching the Ravens’ level of success. Currently sitting in second place in the AFC North with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses, the Steelers enter this match following an unexpected and disappointing 30-6 loss to the Texans. They are averaging 15.5 points per game while allowing an average of 25, indicating some challenges on both offence and defence.
This match is undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend, featuring two of the biggest rivals in the NFL. Predicting the winner is challenging; however, if I had to choose, I would favour the Ravens. The last time these two teams clashed was in January of this year, with the Steelers securing a 16-13 victory.
My pick: The Baltimore Ravens to win this game with a point spread of -4.5 (-104 at BetDukes).

New York Giants vs. Miami Dolphins (Sunday, Oct 8th)
The Giants are currently at the bottom of the NFC East division with just 1 win and 3 losses. They come into this match after a disappointing 24-3 loss to the Seahawks, and it’s imperative that they bounce back quickly to avoid further complications. Their offence is struggling, averaging just 11.5 points per game, which is the lowest in the league, while their defence is allowing an average of 30.5 points per game.
In contrast, the Dolphins are currently second in the AFC East with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. Despite having a strong season, they enter this match on the heels of a 48-20 loss to the Bills. Their offence is performing exceptionally well, averaging 37.5 points per game, which is the best in the league. However, they are allowing an average of 29.8 points per game on defence, an area they will need to improve in the future.
It’s not difficult to predict the winner of this game. The Miami Dolphins are performing so well that it’s hard to imagine them losing. They last met in 2021, with the Dolphins winning 20-9.
My pick: The Miami Dolphins with a point spread of -12 (-116 at BetOBet).

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Arizona Cardinals (Sunday, Oct 8th)
The Cincinnati Bengals have been a source of disappointment this season, finding themselves at the bottom of the AFC North division with just a single win and three losses. They enter this match following a discouraging 27-3 loss to the Titans. Currently, they rank among the lower-performing teams in the NFL, averaging just 19 points per game while allowing an average of 15.
On the other hand, the Arizona Cardinals have been facing significant struggles recently, and their season has been challenging as they currently sit at the bottom of the NFC West with just 1 win and 3 losses. They enter this match following a 35-16 loss to the 49ers. In terms of their statistics, they are averaging 22 points per game while allowing 25.5.
While it’s challenging to predict the outcome of this game, the home-field advantage for the Arizona Cardinals might tilt the odds in their favour. The last time these two teams met was in August 2022, with the Cardinals winning 36-23.
My pick: The Arizona Cardinals with a point spread of +3 (-109 at iBet).

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Rams (Sunday, Oct 8th)
The Philadelphia Eagles have emerged as one of the NFL’s top teams this season, boasting an undefeated record. They currently lead the NFC East with 4 wins and are entering this match following a thrilling victory over their rivals, the Washington Commanders, with a score of 34-31. In terms of their statistics, they are averaging 29.5 points per game while allowing an average of 22.5.
On the flip side, the Los Angeles Rams have faced their fair share of struggles this season, currently occupying the third spot in the NFC West with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. Nevertheless, they come into this match on the heels of an impressive 29-23 victory over the Colts. In terms of their statistics, they are averaging 24.5 points per game while allowing just 21.3.
This match promises to be one of the best, and I’m eagerly looking forward to watching it. While I lean towards the Eagles as the potential winners, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rams pull off a significant upset. Their last encounter was in 2020, with the Rams emerging victorious with a score of 37-19.
My pick: The Philadelphia Eagles to win this game with a point spread of -4 (-109 at iBet).

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Minnesota Vikings (Sunday, Oct 8th)
After a challenging start to the season, the Kansas City Chiefs have made a strong comeback, entering this match on the back of three consecutive victories. They currently lead the AFC West division with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. Offensively, they are averaging 25.3 points per game, while their defence allows an average of just 15 points per game.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings have faced some challenges this season, but they are entering this match on a positive note after securing their first win against the Carolina Panthers with a score of 21-13. They currently hold the third spot in the NFC North with a record of one win and three losses. In terms of their statistics, they are averaging 22.5 points per game while allowing an average of 23.8 points per game.
This match promises to be a must-watch, and I wouldn’t want to miss it. The Vikings have been struggling, and it’s hard to envision them winning this game. If I had to choose a team, I would pick the Chiefs as the likely winner. Their last encounter was in 2021, with the Chiefs prevailing with a score of 28-25.
My pick: The Kansas City Chiefs with a point spread of -3.5 (-114 at BetOBet).
