NFL Picks and Bets Week 13

This is a picture of the some NFL players for the Picks and Bets week 13 article

Yesterday, I had a great time watching the Dallas Cowboys play against the Seattle Seahawks. It was one of the best games I’ve seen so far this season, and this weekend promises plenty more exciting matches that you wonā€™t want to miss out on. In this NFL Picks and Bets Week 13 article, I’ll share my top five game predictions for this weekend.

If you would like to place bets on the game check out our sports betting page. (non-Ontario).

Atlanta Falcons vs New York Jets (Sunday, Dec 3rd)

The Atlanta Falcons are having a strong season, leading the NFC South with a 5-6 record. Their recent victory over the New Orleans Saints (24-15) showcased their potential, although improvements in their offence are needed. Currently averaging 19.4 points per game, they face a challenge in matching their defence, which allows an average of 21.1 points.

On the flip side, the New York Jets are struggling, having lost their last four games, including a defeat against the Dolphins (34-13). With a record of 4 wins and 7 losses, they sit in third place in the AFC East. The Jets’ primary concern lies in their offence, producing only an average of 14.8 points per game, the third-worst in the league. On the defensive end, they fare slightly better, allowing an average of 21.6 points per game.

I think the Falcons will get the win, even though they arenā€™t playing in their home stadium. The last time these two faced each other was back in August 2022, with the Jets winning by 24-16.

My pick: The Atlanta Falcons to win this game with a point spread of -2 (-112 at BetDukes).

Denver Broncos vs Houston Texans (Sunday, Dec 3rd)

The Denver Broncos are in excellent form, entering this match after securing victories in their last five games, including a convincing win against the Browns by 29-12. This streak places them in the second spot in the AFC West, boasting a record of 6 wins and 5 losses. While their offence has been a key factor, averaging 22.4 points per game, their defence lags, allowing an average of 25.5 points, among the NFL’s worst.

Meanwhile, the Houston Texans approach this match following a recent loss to the Jaguars by 24-21, putting them in third place in the AFC South with a 6-5 record. Their offence performs well, scoring an average of 23.5 points per game, while their defence holds steady, allowing an average of 21.1 points.

Predicting the outcome is challenging, as both teams have the potential to secure a victory. However, if forced to make a prediction, I would lean towards the Texans. The last meeting between these teams took place in September, with the Broncos winning 16-9.

My pick: The Houston Texans with a moneyline bet of -171 at BetOBet).

Miami Dolphins vs Washington Commanders (Sunday, Dec 3rd)

The Miami Dolphins currently lead the AFC East, entering this match after securing victories in their last two games, notably defeating the New York Jets by 34-13. Much of their success stems from their offence, averaging an impressive 30.8 points per game, the second-best in the league while allowing an average of 22.8.

In contrast, the Commanders are struggling, occupying the bottom of the NFC East with a record of 4-8. They approach this match after suffering three consecutive defeats, the latest against the Cowboys by 45-10. Their defensive performance has been challenging, allowing an average of 29.2 points per game, the worst in the league, while scoring an average of 20.5.

If predicting this game, my inclination would be towards the Miami Dolphins to secure the win. Despite the Commanders playing in their home stadium, I find it challenging to envision them emerging victorious. The last meeting between these two teams occurred in 2019, with the Commanders winning by 17-16.

My pick: The Miami Dolphins with a point spread of -9.5 (-109 at iBet).

San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday, Dec 3rd)

The San Francisco 49ers have showcased exceptional performance this season, leading the NFC West with a record of 8 wins and only 3 losses. Coming into this match after securing victories in their last 3 games, including an impressive win against the Seahawks by 31-13, the 49ers attribute much of their success to their formidable defence, allowing an average of only 15.5 points per game, the best in the NFL. Their offence has also been noteworthy, scoring an average of 28.2 points per game, ranking fourth in the league.

On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles have emerged as the top team in the NFL this season, leading the NFC East with a remarkable record of 10 wins and 1 loss. Their latest triumph over the Bills by 37-34 in overtime underscores their offensive prowess, with an average score of 28.2 points per game, while allowing an average of 22.4.

Predicting the outcome of this game is challenging given the outstanding performances of both teams. However, if forced to make a choice, I would lean towards the Eagles, especially since they are playing in their home stadium. The last meeting between these two teams occurred in January, with the Eagles defeating the 49ers by 31-7.

My pick: The Philadelphia Eagles to win this game with a point spread of +3 (-109 at iBet).

Kansas City Chiefs vs Green Bay Packers (Sunday, Dec 3rd)

The Chiefs are having a strong season, leading the AFC West with 8 wins and 3 losses. They enter this match following an impressive victory over their rivals, the Raiders, by 31-17. Much of their success is credited to their defence, which has been among the best in the NFL this season, allowing an average of only 16.5 points, the third-best. Their offence is also performing well, with an average score of 23.3.

In contrast, the Green Bay Packers are heading into this match with two consecutive victories, the latest one against the Detroit Lions by 29-22, featuring a standout performance by Jordan Love, who completed 268 yards and 3 touchdowns. While the Packers haven’t been flawless this season, their defence has been solid, allowing an average of 20.4 points, and their offence is scoring 21 points per game.

Predicting the outcome of this game is a bit challenging. However, if forced to make a choice, I would lean towards the Chiefs to win. The last meeting between these two teams took place in August 2022, with the Chiefs securing a victory by 17-10.

My pick: The Kansas City Chiefs with a point spread of -6 (-108 at BetDukes).
