Buffalo Bills vs Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday, Jan 21st)
After a commanding 31-17 victory over the Steelers in their home stadium last weekend, the Buffalo Bills return to their turf as the formidable favourites to win their next match. Despite their prowess, they face the challenge of the Kansas City Chiefs, whose defence ranks second-best, allowing an average of just 16.7 points per game, posing a significant hurdle for the Bills’ offence. The Bills, however, boast an impressive balance with a potent offence scoring an average of 26.8 points and a resilient defence allowing only 18.2 points per game.
On the flip side, the Kansas City Chiefs, led by last year’s MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, displayed their strength in a 26-7 Wild Card win over the Miami Dolphins. Mahomes completed 23 of 41 passes (56.1%) for 262 yards and one touchdown in that game. While the Chiefs’ offence has had its moments, their defence has proven formidable. However, keeping a close eye on Stefon Diggs and Dalton Kincaid will be crucial.
Despite sportsbooks favouring the Bills, facing the Chiefs is always a formidable challenge, even away from their home stadium. The last encounter between these two teams in December resulted in a narrow 20-17 victory for the Bills.
