Yesterday, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Celtics beat the 76ers in an exciting game, although I was a bit disappointed by the King’s loss to the Raptors. New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics
The New York Knicks are finally set to play their first preseason match after a long wait. Their last game was in May when they were eliminated by the Miami Heat in the playoffs. Despite an impressive regular season performance, it wasn’t enough to secure a spot in the championship finals. I’m eager to see how they perform this season, especially considering their intriguing new signings, including Dylan Windler, Donte DiVincenzo, and Nathan Knight.
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have already played their first preseason game, securing a 114-106 victory over the 76ers. Payton Pritchard led the team with an impressive performance, scoring 26 points and providing 4 assists, while Jayson Tatum contributed with 13 points and 5 assists.

It’s been quite some time since we last saw the Oklahoma City Thunder in action. After more than 5 months, we are finally going to witness their performance in the preseason. Last year was a tough one for them as they couldn’t secure a playoff spot. However, with the addition of new players like Lindy Waters III, Jack White, and Olivier Sarr, I believe we will see a more experienced and competitive team.
On the other hand, the San Antonio Spurs had one of the worst seasons in their history last year, and I’m sure they will do everything they can to avoid repeating it this year. They will also be playing their first preseason match, and considering the interesting signings they’ve made, including S. Cissoko, Lamar Stevens, and many others, it will be fascinating to see how they fit into the new team.
This is undoubtedly a fantastic match you won’t want to miss. Despite the Thunder playing in their home stadium, I’m inclined to favour the Spurs for the win. The last time these two teams faced each other was in March 2023, with the Thunder emerging victorious with a score of 102-90.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Brooklyn Nets
The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have a strong start in their first preseason game, losing to the Golden State Warriors yesterday with a score of 125-108. Despite the efforts of Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and D’Angelo Russell, who each scored 15 points, it wasn’t enough to halt the GSW offence. It’s worth noting that LeBron James did not play.
On the flip side, the Brooklyn Nets will be playing their first preseason match, and I hope they get off to a good start considering their performance last season. It will also be interesting to see how new players like F Darius Bazley and G Dennis Smith Jr. fit into their new team.
The last time these two teams faced each other was in January of this year, and the Nets emerged victorious with a score of 121-104. However, if I had to choose a team to win this upcoming match, my pick would be the Lakers.
