10. Kareem Hunt, running back
Kareem Hunt, a 27-year-old running back, remains a free agent, indicating that he hasn’t joined any team yet. With the preseason already underway, Kareem Hunt must urgently seek a new team; otherwise, he risks missing the upcoming season, which is not beneficial for any player. I firmly believe that he would be an excellent addition to the Carolina Panthers, providing a great boost to their lineup. However, I canāt see that happening any time soon.
9. Teddy Bridgewater, Quarterback
Teddy Bridgewater, a 30-year-old veteran, had his contract expire with the Miami Dolphins last season. As the new season approaches and he remains without a contract, I’m doubtful that he will secure a signing. I hope I’m wrong. However, if he does find a team, it’s likely to be a backup.
8. Dalton Risner, Guard
Dalton Risner has been amazing in the past few years and is currently a free agent. The 28-year-old was playing for the Denver Broncos; however, he is currently available in the market. There are rumours that the Indiana Colts may try to sign him, but nothing is confirmed yet. Nevertheless, I am confident that if he joins their team, he will undoubtedly bring a lot of quality and skill to their lineup.
7. Jadeveon Clowney, EDGE
Jadeveon Clowney is another player who remains a free agent. The 30-year-old hasn’t been at his best in recent years, as he struggled with consistency. However, I firmly believe that with the right team and coach, he still has a lot more to offer. Clowney made his debut back in 2014 with the Houston Texans, where he played until 2018. He then had stints with the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, the Tennessee Titans in 2020, and the Cleveland Browns until last season.
6. Leonard Fournette, Running Back
Leonard Fournette, a 28-year-old free agent, is generating speculation about a potential signing with the Patriots. The running back has displayed exceptional skills in recent years, and there is considerable interest in seeing him play for a new team this season. He began his career in Atlanta and later played for New Orleans, Carolina, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he spent the last season.
5. Ronald Darby, Cornerback
Another notable player who remains a free agent is Ronald Darby. Despite facing a few injuries in recent years, Darby’s talent and potential are undeniable. His NFL journey started with the Buffalo Bills, where he played from 2015 to 2016, showcasing his skills on the field. Subsequently, he became a valuable asset for the Philadelphia Eagles, contributing significantly from 2017 to 2019. In 2021, he joined the Denver Broncos, but unfortunately, his last season was hindered by injuries, limiting him to just five games.Ā
4. Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back
Ezekiel Elliott is probably the most famous name in the NFL when it comes to free-agent players. The 28-year-old running back has had a stellar career. He made his debut back in 2016 for the Dallas Cowboys, where he played until last season. Now, he is a free agent, and I’m sure that he will be signing with a team in a few weeks.
3. John Johnson, Safety
It’s a bit strange to see that John Johnson is still a free agent with the preseason starting next week. The 27-year-old safety has been one of the most captivating players to watch in recent seasons, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him sign with a new team in the coming days. Johnson began his career with the Los Angeles Rams, where he played until 2020, and then moved to the Cleveland Browns in 2021, where he stayed until last season.
2. Dalvin Cook, Running Back
Dalvin Cook is another great player who will likely be signed before the start of the season. The 27-year-old has spent his entire career playing for the Minnesota Vikings, which he joined back in 2017. Since then, he has amassed an impressive 5,993 rushing yards. While there have been rumours of a potential move to the Denver Broncos for the upcoming season, nothing has been confirmed. Regardless, there’s no doubt that Dalvin Cook still has a lot to offer on the field.
1. Yannick Ngakoue, EDGE
Yannick Ngakoue, an exceptional defensive player, has consistently showcased his prowess over the past few years, making him a highly sought-after free agent at the moment. The 28-year-old embarked on his NFL journey in 2016 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he thrived until 2019. Subsequently, he showcased his skills with stints at the Vikings, Ravens, Raiders, and most recently, the Colts in the last year. Despite being linked to potential landing spots like the New Orleans Saints, nothing has been confirmed yet, and it remains a mere rumour. Nevertheless, given his remarkable track record, it’s highly likely that he won’t remain a free agent for long.
