As we mentioned, the Book of Helios was developed by Betsoft who made another game similar to many others out there. We’ve seen many favourite games among players developed with a similar-looking quest-like theme.
The slot game was just released and although it is so new, it’s quite simple in its approach. The graphics are alright, nothing special but nothing bad either. Players can get winnings from the 5 reels and the 3 rows.
Paylines go from left to right with a total of 10 possible ways to win. In all honesty, they could have done more to make the base game layout a bit more thrilling, now it looks like another game without too much imagination applied to it.
The Book of Helios slot is played with an RTP of 95.58%, a number that is pretty decent. Most new games seem to be around 96% with some exceptions.
It’s a slot machine that highly volatile and all wins are spread out accordingly, it does, however, come with quite a high hit percentage, 35.03%. But bear in mind, that these hits are commonly quite small in value.

Book of Helios comes with different paying symbols and only one special symbol.
The low-paying symbols are, as commonly seen, 10 through Aces. You win by creating combinations of at least 3 of the same symbol from left to right. You can get anything from 0.20x the stake to 8x the stake, should you land 5 aces.
The pay symbols with higher values include a Whip, a Crossbow, a female character and Helios himself. Getting 3-5 of the same will pay anything between 0.5x – 20x the stake.
The special symbol featured in the game acts as both a wild symbol and a scatter symbol. The symbol is the Book of Helios itself, and getting 3 or more will activate the free spins bonus.
During the bonus round, no new symbols appear. But you’ll be given on special expanding symbol that we’ll speak more about further down.

During the bonus game, you’ll also come across the Book of Helios once more. It still acts as a wild symbol, but now it expands too to cover the reel vertically.
After it has expanded, it reveals win multipliers that are applied to the game round. If you’re lucky, you can cover the full grid and get a max win multiplier of 5x the win.

Wrapping up our review of the Book of Helios slot, we feel a bit underwhelmed. The game presents another ‘Book of’ theme, but it doesn’t bring much new excitement to the table.
