Latest Operator to Join IBIA Is Coolbet

The International Betting Integrity Association, IBIA recently approved the Manitoba-owned Coolbet to join as the newest member, following its launch in Ontario’s regulated market. Coolbet will contribute its integrity information to a network of operators throughout the world in order to assist sports betting bodies identify suspicious betting behaviour. It’s also noteworthy to mention that GAN acquired Coolbet last year.

IBIA members cumulatively account for €115 billion (£98bn/$122.75bn) in global annual turnover. “We are delighted to be a part of the IBIA” affirmed Endre Nesset, GAN’s senior vice president of global sports. “There is power in numbers, and together with the rest of IBIA’s members, we are in excellent position to assist preserve integrity and combat corruption in our market.”

Coolbet IBIA Membership Just After Launch Approval in Ontario

Just over a month after obtaining a licence in Ontario, Coolbet has announced its membership. Operators must join an integrity monitoring organisation such as IBIA in order to meet the standards for sports betting in Ontario. A number of new members have recently joined IBIA. The ComeOn Group, who just received the green light to start operations in Ontario, and VBet are two examples. In April, the IBIA revealed it had received 42 gambling alerts from its services. It was a significant decrease from both Q1 of 2021 and Q4 of that year. Tennis was the sport with the most alerts, with 14.

On previous occasions we informed you about other sports betting companies who joined the association. Betting sites like Betway, ComeOn and Draftkings who already obtained a gaming license in Ontario are also members of IBIA.
