Las Vegas Raiders vs Los Angeles Chargers (Sunday, Sep 8th)
The Raiders didn’t have a great preseason, as they failed to win a single game. With their most recent match ending in a draw against the 49ers. However, it’s worth noting that the Raiders have made significant improvements over the past year, particularly by strengthening their offensive line with the acquisition of new players. While I expect them to start the season on the right foot, I don’t believe they will win this game.
Meanwhile, the Chargers also had an underwhelming preseason, managing to win only one game, a 26-19 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, where Trey Lance threw for 323 yards and one touchdown. For this upcoming game, the Chargers come in as the favorites, and given their strong performances at home, I really don’t see them losing. It’s worth mentioning that they’ll be missing some key players due to injury. Some of them are Bucky Williams, Chris Rumph II, and Tyler McLellan.
If I had to make a prediction for this matchup, I’d choose the Chargers. I just can’t see the Raiders pulling off a win in their home stadium. The last time these two teams faced each other was in December 2023, with the Raiders winning 63-21.
