Atlanta Falcons vs Baltimore Ravens (Saturday, Aug 17th)
The Atlanta Falcons didn’t kick off their preseason as hoped, falling short in their first game against the Miami Dolphins with a 20-13 loss on home turf. Despite their quarterback managing to throw for 104 yards, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide in their favor.
Similarly, the Baltimore Ravens also struggled in their preseason opener, losing to the Eagles by a close 16-13 margin. It’s worth noting, however, that their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, didn’t take the field. Instead, Josh Johnson led the offense, passing for 62 yards. With the Ravens returning to their home stadium, they’ll be eager to put up a stronger performance and secure a win.
Interestingly, most sportsbooks are favoring the Falcons to win this matchup, but I’m not convinced. If I had to make a choice, I’d back the Ravens. The last time these two teams met, back in December, the Falcons lost 17-9, and I believe the Ravens have what it takes to repeat that success.
My pick: The Baltimore Ravens to win this game with a +2 point spread (-115 at PowerPlay Sports).
