Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars (Saturday, Aug 10th)
After winning the Super Bowl for the last two years, the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to start their run this season with a win over the Jaguars. However, it’s worth mentioning that this is just a preseason game, so I wouldn’t expect to see Patrick Mahomes or Travis Kelce on the field. One thing is certain: the Chiefs will aim to win the Super Bowl again this year and become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive titles.
On the flip side, the Jaguars were, in my opinion, one of the most disappointing teams last season. I expected much more from their main quarterback, Trevor Lawrence. Even though they started the season well, they finished second in the AFC South with a record of 9 wins and 8 losses, just behind the Houston Texans, which meant they didn’t make it to the playoffs. The Jaguars have made significant improvements to their defense in recent years, but last season they struggled, and I’m sure they’ll want to focus on that area this year.
If you’ve read my previous articles, you know how much of a Jaguars fan I am. However, if I had to make a prediction, I would pick the Chiefs to win this one. Not only do they have the better team, but they also have the better coach.
My pick: The Kansas City Chiefs to win this game with a +1.5 point spread (-105 at BetOBet).
