Atlanta Falcons vs Miami Dolphins (Friday, Aug 9th)
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Falcons on the field. Last season was rough for them, as they finished third in the NFC South with a record of 7 wins and 10 losses. The Falcons haven’t made the playoffs since 2017, and although they’ve improved in some areas, like their offense, it hasn’t been enough to secure a playoff spot. On the other hand, the Dolphins just signed their main quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, to a four-year deal. In my opinion, this is a great move, as Tua is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. The Dolphins will also be playing their first NFL preseason game, and I’m sure their coach will want to show fans why they can contend for the Super Bowl this year. Last season, the Dolphins had a strong regular season, finishing second in the AFC East with 11 wins and 6 losses. However, they were eliminated right away by the Chiefs in the Wild Card Round, losing 26-7. If the Dolphins can improve their defense, they could be even better this season. If not, things might not change much for them.
The last time these two teams faced each other was in August 2023, with the Falcons winning 19-3.
