New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers (TNF Sep 21st)
The Giants didn’t start the season well, suffering a 40-0 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in their first game. However, they managed to surprise many fans, myself included, by defeating the Cardinals in their last match with a score of 31-28. Joshua Hobbs played a key role in this victory, completing 228 yards and securing one touchdown. In terms of their roster, it’s worth noting that Ben Bredeson and Saquon Barkley won’t be available for the upcoming match due to injuries.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers have had a strong start to the season. They won their first game against the Steelers and followed it up with a 30-23 victory over the Rams, with Brock Purdy completing 206 yards. The 49ers have the second-highest number of interceptions in the league, totalling four. They also boast one of the most prolific scoring offences, averaging 30 points per game. Unfortunately, Samuel Womack is sidelined with a knee injury and won’t be playing.
It’s been a while since these two teams last met in September 2020, when the San Francisco 49ers emerged victorious with a score of 36-9. Given that the 49ers have home-field advantage this time, I find it unlikely that they’ll lose.
