Favourites to Win the Women’s Competition
Regarding the women’s competition, we already know that the final will be played between Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka. This will be the first time these two players have reached the US Open final, making it even more exciting. This year, Aryna Sabalenka is the clear favourite to win the trophy, while Coco is seen as the underdog. If I had to choose a winner, I’d pick Aryna Sabalenka because of her experience and previous major titles. But it wouldn’t be surprising if Coco manages to win.

US Open 2023 Final thoughts
The US Open has been incredible so far, and I must say that there have been many surprises that I really wasn’t expecting, especially in the women’s category. The biggest surprises for me were undoubtedly the fact that Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek, who won the US Open last year, couldn’t reach the semi-finals, and the fact that Markéta VondrouÅ¡ová, who won Wimbledon this year, lost in the quarter-finals.
In the men’s competition, it’s evident that this year is more competitive with the presence of Novak Djokovic. Nevertheless, there have also been disappointments, such as Casper Ruud’s elimination by Z. Zhang in the second round, something that no one was expecting.
