Finishing the regular season in second place within the AFC West division with a record of 10 wins and 7 losses, they managed to secure a spot in the super wild card. However, their playoff journey was cut short by the Jacksonville Jaguars, resulting in the most disheartening game of the season. Despite initially leading the Jaguars with a score of 27-0, the Chargers suffered an astonishing comeback. It stood as one of the greatest comebacks witnessed during the super wild card weekend. The Los Angeles Chargers will need to put in a significant amount of effort in the upcoming season if they aim to achieve significant accomplishments. One area that requires substantial improvement is their defence, which currently falls short of expectations.
2. Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders should also come as no surprise, as they experienced a highly disappointing season, falling short of the expectations held by many of their fans. Finishing the regular season in third place within the AFC West, they posted a record of 6 wins and 11 losses, failing to secure a playoff spot. While their offence showed promise, their defence emerged as a significant concern that requires substantial improvements in the upcoming season. Without addressing these defensive issues, they risk repeating the same struggles as last season. Notably, during the regular season, the Las Vegas Raiders often held substantial leads but ultimately suffered defeats, highlighting their lack of composure and experience. It comes as no surprise that the Denver Broncos top this article, considering they endured one of the worst seasons in history. They finished the regular season at the bottom of the AFC West division with a record of just 5 wins and 12 losses. Despite numerous player injuries that hindered their performance, their abysmal performance exceeded all expectations. Looking ahead to the next season, it’s highly likely that significant changes will be made, and it’s difficult to envision them repeating the same level of disappointment.
