NFL Preseason Picks Week 3: Bills vs Bears, Browns vs Chiefs, Jets vs Giants and Raiders vs Cowboys
After two exciting weeks of NFL action, we are now entering the final week of the preseason. Yesterday, we witnessed the Steelers dominate the Falcons with a commanding 24-0 victory. Meanwhile, the Eagles faced another defeat, this time against the Colts. In this NFL Preseason Picks Week 3 article, I’ll try my best to tell you which games to watch and where to find good odds for your bets this weekend.

Buffalo Bills vs. Chicago Bears (Saturday, Aug 26th)
The Buffalo Bills are stepping into this game fresh off a 27-15 loss against the Steelers, a stark contrast to their initial preseason triumph against the Colts with a score of 23-19. Despite quarterback Josh Allen’s participation in the last match, his efforts fell short of securing a victory against the Steelers. Looking forward, anticipation is building to see the likes of Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen back in action for at least a few minutes in the upcoming game.
Meanwhile, the Bears are also gearing up for this match following a setback in their previous encounter against the Colts. While their initial preseason victory over the Titans by a margin of 23-17 left me pleasantly surprised, they faced challenges containing the Colts’ offence in their latest outing. Notably, their primary quarterback Justin Fields was absent from the game, as the quarterback duties were assumed by PJ Walker and Nathan Peterman. Looking ahead to this upcoming match, there’s a reasonable expectation that Justin Fields will have an extended opportunity to showcase his skills.
The most recent encounter between these two teams took place in December 2022, resulting in a victory for the Buffalo Bills with a score of 35-13. While the upcoming match is scheduled to be hosted at the Bears’ home stadium, my anticipation leans towards a potential victory for the Bills.
My pick: The Buffalo Bills to win this game with a point spread of -2.5 (-128 at BetDukes).

Cleveland Browns vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Saturday, Aug 26th)
The Cleveland Browns are stepping into this match following a draw against the Philadelphia Eagles, alongside a loss against the Washington Commanders and a victory against the New York Jets in their opening preseason encounters. This time, they will be venturing beyond their home stadium, as the game is set to take place at the Kansas City Chiefs’ arena.
On the flip side, the Chiefs are entering this contest on the heels of a significant triumph over the Cardinals. This outcome wasn’t entirely unexpected, given the prevailing defensive issues faced by the Cardinals.
Looking back, the most recent clash between these two teams occurred in 2021, culminating in a victory for the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 33-29. If compelled to predict a victor for this match, my inclination would once again lead me to favour the Chiefs.
My pick: The Kansas City Chiefs with a point spread of +3.5 (-112 at BetOBet).

New York Jets vs. New York Giants (Saturday, Aug 26th)
The Jets are entering this match after two losses, although they did secure a victory against the Panthers. However, in this forthcoming game, it appears that we’ll finally witness the debut of Aaron Rodgers in a Jets uniform. While Zach Wilson predominantly held the role of the Jets’ quarterback during the preseason games, the upcoming Saturday fixture is likely to feature Rodgers stepping into the spotlight, assuming the pivotal position as the primary quarterback for the Jets.
On the other hand, the Giants are entering this match on the heels of an impressive victory over the Panthers. Following their initial preseason loss against the Lions by 21-16, the Giants showcased a commendable resurgence in their latest outing. However, looking forward to the upcoming match, it’s noteworthy that their starting quarterback, Daniel Jones, will not be in the lineup, reserving his appearances solely for the official season.
The most recent encounter between these two teams took place in 2022, resulting in a victory for the Jets. While predicting the outcome of this match remains a challenge, I think the Jets will get the win.
My pick: The New York Jets with a point spread of -6 (-110 at iBet).

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Dallas Cowboys (Saturday, Aug 26th)
The Las Vegas Raiders are entering this match with remarkable momentum, having secured victories in their initial two preseason encounters. The first triumph came against the 49ers, with a commanding score of 34-7. Followed by another decisive win over the Rams by a margin of 34-17. Following a promising debut for the Raiders, Jimmy Garoppolo is poised to have an extended playing time this Saturday, sharing the field with Jakobi Meyers.
In contrast, the Dallas Cowboys found themselves concluding the preseason on a less favourable note. The first loss came against the Jaguars, marked by a score of 28-23. Followed by a second defeat at the hands of the Seahawks, with a scoreline of 22-14. Notably, their starting quarterback Dak Prescott has yet to make an appearance this season, while Will Grier and Cooper Rush have seen action in his absence.
This match is scheduled to take place at the Dallas Cowboys stadium. However, my expectation remains that the Raiders will emerge victorious. If I had to make a prediction, I would lean towards the Las Vegas Raiders securing the win. Notably, the most recent encounter between these two teams occurred in 2021, culminating in a victory for the Raiders with a final score of 36-33.
My pick: The Las Vegas Raiders to win this game with a point spread of -5 (-110 at iBet).
